When I was a little girl, I used to listen in while my mom was on the phone. Whenever she’d give someone her last name, she’d say, “That’s spelled F, as in Frank, E-L-D-M-A-N.” Eventually, I grew up saying the same thing. When I married, ‘F’ became my middle initial. But years later I still found myself parroting my mother’s words.

One day, I caught myself doing this and decided it had to stop. I am not my mother. And who’s Frank, anyway? That day I dumped Frank and embraced Fabulous. The rest is history.

When I’m not blogging, I’m out doing fabulous things in fabulous places with fabulous people. Eventually, I’ll write about the completely fabulous ones. I mostly write about the things I know best: food, wine, luxury travel, and spa. (That’s spa as a noun. Although I do spa—the verb—when I’m at a spa, the noun.)  Follow me on Twitter @luxurywriter.

I write for those magazines you love to read when you’re hanging out at the bookstore, sipping your latte. The kind with nice thick glossy pages and those don’t-you-wish-you-were-here photographs. I also swirl and sniff a lot. Wine, that is. Tasting is one of my occupational responsibilities, and I practice dutifully. Can’t let that sommelier certification of mine go to waste.

So here’s to completely fabulous experiences!

I invite you to visit my writing site, where you can read some of my magazine articles on luxury lifestyle: www.denisereynolds.com.
